| Wondering if theres many muds coded in Java out there. I know CoffeeMud is, but was curious to as if any others were. Im looking into coding a basic mud in Java. Any advice on this? |

Yes, there are quite a few... Jamud, JavaMUD, CoffeeMUD, various servers on Erwin's list...
In general, for nearly any language x that has more than 10 users (no, Tyche, I don't mean RPG IV or COBOL), you will find an xMUD if you look hard enough. |

There's also BlueMud, Entity, JLMud, Jmud, Joom, Key, Momoko, Pain, WolfMud, Xmud.
Of those above Key, Jmud and Xmud were fairly well developed. Jmud is in Portuguese though. CoffeMud as Eiz mentioned is too, and fairly popular as I see there are a dozen or so listed on the I3 network.
I seriously considered doing a CobolMud as a stunt, but I couldn't convince myself the joke was worth the time typing it up. |

Dawn of the Ages is a mud written entirely in Java with some Scheme used to provide a few commands and in-depth progging. It's been up and running for over six years now.
