I noticed that there's not a sub-forum for newly registered people to say hi, So I'm posting my 'Hi' message here. Moderators feel free to nuke this post if it's inappropriate.

Anyway...

Hi, I'm Jaruzel. I'm an on/off regular lurker at Wheelmud and I am the creator of MUD32, an Open Source MUD codebase for those people out there who only know VB and not C and want to dabble in designing thier own MUDs.

More details (if you are interested) on MUD32 can be found at: http://www.Jaruzel.com/MUD32

I'm a long term MUD player, but have serious leanings towards design; I get more out designing the engine than driving the car, as it were Wink

-Jaruzel.

Welcome.

We decided against a forum for general chit-chat, because... well, I guess because we're all too lazy to moderate a place like that, and it tends to bring more noise than we care for.

This is the General (non-mud related) forum. You can post anything not related to muds here.

Bubba posts: POOP!
Moderator: Hey, keep the spam down, I'm deleting that.
Bubba: But the forum title said I could post anything here! This is a violation of my rights! Fascists!

Similarly, we decided not to start an Introductions thread, because some people tend to use those to advertise their mud, and then may never post again. Best way to get to know people and their projects is listening to what they have to say in actual discussion.

Fair enough, I shall consider myself chastised then.

Thank you.

*grin*

Wasn't really meant as a chastisement, just an explanation. Wink
