So... I just received an email from "forums@mudlab.org" originally from "www-data@codealchemy.org" and I'm rather confused why the forums seem to have just sent me an ad for an MMORPG. I've included the email below:

I got it too, strange. I can't imagine it was done with Unifex's knowledge, considering one of the main goals of these forums was to avoid any form of advertising - not even banners or posted adverts are permitted, and they are far less intrusive than emails. Plus it was a really poorly written advert (just gave an address), doesn't appear to have any connection to any mudlab admin, and is obviously damaging to MudLab's reputation.

Faked email, perhaps? Or someone got email access through a loophole in the forums?

This should probably be moved to the Meta forum. And yeah, I got the mail as well, looked like spam.

The headers appeared to have been faked.
